420 Friendly Lodging in Colorado

Cannabis tourism has expanded rapidly in Colorado and as a result many residents and tourists are looking for lodging options that will allow the use of marijuana on their premises. Unfortunately many hotels in the state are still smoke free and those that do are limited to 25% of their total inventory or less. Many major hotel chains are also very hesitant to market themselves as 420 friendly given the recency of the legality as well as the federal restrictions on cannabis. Given all of this, more guests are looking to private accommodations instead of larger commercial hotel chains.

It is at the discretion of the each individual accommodation as to their policy on marijuana use in their establishment so please double check all rules/restrictions before choosing an establishment.

Below is a directory of hotels and private residences that allow smoking to some extent or are 420 friendly in Colorado. Search by city using the dropdown menu and you’ll find not only contact info but a bio on each establishment as well as our own TwoTenTwice.com review.

If you own a hotel or private residence that is 420 friendly and would like to be featured here or you would like to claim/adjust your current listing, please contact us.

Denver

Adagio Bud and Breakfast

About / Bio

Located in a gorgeous Victorian home in one of Denver’s most historic neighborhoods, the Bud and Breakfast at The Adagio is not only the first, but the premier 420-friendly lodge in the city. We offer six beautifully decorated suites, each of them unique, private, comfortable, and quiet. Though we model ourselves after traditional Bed and Breakfasts, we have expanded our hospitality to incorporate our passion for cannabis.

The Bud and Breakfast is minutes away from downtown Denver, the Convention Center, and many museums and arts venues. Mornings here start between 8:30 and 10:30 with the Wake-and-Bake session. Eggs are cracked and bowls are packed as guests gather in our sunny, communal dining area. No authentic marijuana-friendly lodge could exist without a proper 4:20 Happy Hour celebration. Join us in the communal dining and living areas for some delicious hors d’oeuvres, a selection of beer and wine, and a spread of three different strains of cannabis.

Experience marijuana hospitality in a comfortable setting, and let us show you what a green getaway is all away. We’ll keep the bowl burning for you.

Why we like it

What’s there not to like? The Adagio B & B was always 420 friendly during prohibition, but after legalization has become the state’s first “bud and breakfast.” The comfortable rooms, large outdoor patio, and roomy common areas might make you want to stay in rather than walk minutes away to downtown Denver, including the Convention Center.

Of course, what sets the Adagio apart is the “bud’ part. Visitors are served breakfast everyday between 8:30 and 10:30, where they’re served traditional breakfast accompaniments and some uplifting Sativa to start the day. The B & B staff are particularly sensitive to dietary restrictions, so let them know ahead of time and they’ll be able to take care of you.

In the afternoon, guests gather in the dining/living room area to celebrate 4:20 with hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, and three strains to choose from.

For those looking to celebrate legalization in Colorado to the fullest, this is one of the best places to stay in Denver.

Though becoming easier every day, it’s still hard to find cannabis-accepting lodging in downtown Denver, especially at a luxury brand hotel.

That’s why My 420 Tours has partnered with one to create a 420 friendly vacation experience for tourists. You find out the name of the hotel and the address after booking, but rest assured that it’s right in downtown, with a deck overlooking the city (and that you are explicitly allowed to smoke weed on).

Booking the room through 420 Tours also comes with some perks, including a vaporizer for in-room vaping.

420 Denver Nights

About / Bio

This is our home. We welcome you to share the rent by renting a room. This is a “share” so guests have full house rights, but limited kitchen use.

We are a gay male couple who married in Iowa in September, 2013. Over the years, one of us has stayed in Amsterdam at a woman’s home. She rented him a room and a bathroom, with a key to get in and out. Each time there, he was showed hospitality and kindness, and was allowed to smoke pot in his room. We wish the same experience for our guests. We are not fancy or pretentious. We live a middle class life in a middle class neighborhood. We do not do this to make a living, merely to meet cool people and let them have a chill place to enjoy Colorado liberty. One of us is a retired school teacher and now pet sits, the other of us is a young professional just out of college beginning a career in hotel management. We invite you to stay with us and help us supplement our rent at this momentous time in American and World history. Peace.

Why we like it

For those looking for a chill, unpretentious, room in Denver with welcoming hosts, 420 Denver Nights is an affordable option.

In the spirit of pot friendly tourism shared around the world, hosts JT and Moksha have opened their home to travelers looking for a cannabis-friendly experience in Denver. The low-key neighborhood is 6 miles west of downtown and a short walk away from light rail and bus stops.

The hosts look at room rentals as a rent share – so guests essentially become roommates during their stays and have full access to kitchen, laundry, and dining room, with complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea. You can also play with their 4 dogs and 1 cat!
